Skunky started out his exploration of the kink scene in New Jersey in 1997 and has played both as a bottom and a top since. Floggers and Whips are amongst his favorite toys and he has spent a fair amount of time in the US and Canada seeking out masters of the art and craft of making and using them. Back in the Vancouver scene since early last year he enjoys getting out in the local community and does not miss an opportunity to play.

About the Workshop - Relating to Rope
All too often in our quest to gain proficiency in bondage the real reasons and fantasies that drove us here in the first place take a back seat to technique. We lose sight of the forms of sexual freedom and expression we were seeking when we began the journey. In this workshop we will do a series of exercises to capture those fantasies both as tops and bottoms. We will all do guided meditations (new age term for hypnosis) and group sharing to gather and experience the variety of ways we can all fantasize about and experience bondage. No tools are required to participate and participation is mandatory in the exercises. Some portions of the workshop may involve lying on the floor and a pillow and or blanket is suggested but not required.
These courses are all stand alone courses. No one is required to take all of them and there are no prerequisites for any course. However they are given in a sequence that if they are all taken will be the best for the beginner. Those with some prior rope experience can jump in where they feel comfortable.

By developing a few specific skills that work with several different toys, you can increase your consistency, accuracy and add some new dimensions to your play. After the demo, Gord will be available for some one-on-one instruction as time allows.

Elwood is a professionally trained and certified body piercer and body brander, scarification and suspension artist and photographer. He was trained in San Francisco, California by Fakir Musafar (father of the Modern Primative and the man who is credited with bringing body piercing to the western world).
As an educator and body modification practitioner, Elwood is known for his humorous personality while educating audiences on a variety of classes and workshops. He is acknowledged for his vast knowledge of the history of body modification and practical safety.
Elwood has presented numerous workshops surrounding body modification topics for BIO, VASM, Libido Events, Seattle’s Wet Spot, Edmonton O Society, Victoria’s Sagacity, Nanaimo and Winnipeg’s Distinguished Lecturer Series.
Elwood has also been featured on Television with appearances on Shaw’s “Urban Rush”, Discovery Channel’s “Skin Deep”, TLC’s “Human Canvas: Sacred Skin” and on MTV Canada’s “Select”. Elwood has also been featured in various print mediums.
His commitment to advanced safety has also led to Elwood becoming an educator to the Simon Fraser Health Authority for the body modification industry.

Joe Wheeler - The Whip Master
Joe's rich life experiences have brought him to a place where exotic hides are the inspiration for new designs and one of a kind specialty items.
Galley, bull and signal whips in addition to matched and balanced floggers, cats, quirts and variation through original custom designs are the order of the day. Hides, hand selected with great care, are procured through fine leather houses such as Epi Leather and Luis Vuitton in addition to top quality kangaroo from Australia.
Joe's roots in the fine art of leather braiding can be traced back to his days as a member of the merchant Marine when he braided at sea. He has also had training in English saddle making under the auspices of Cordwainers College. His fascination continued with an apprenticeship arrangement with David Morgan in the early 70's. After a number of years in close association with Morgan, Joe relocated to Chicago as a master leather braider in his own right where he began braiding for the leather community after coming to understand alternative views to the use of whips in interpersonal relationships.
He is to be commended for his open mind and non-judgemental attitude of difference.
